Lee's Ferry

The scouting trip to Lee's Ferry Arizona was a success.  Scenery was beautiful and fishing was fantastic.

The river runs from the glen canyon dam (that forms Lake Powell) through a canyon (that'd be Glen Canyon).

I have to say, fishing with 1,000 foot cliffs towering overhead is quite the experience.

Especially, when the fishing is as fantastic as it is here.

On the first day, I landed 16 rainbows ranging in size from about 12 inches up to over 20.  I lost many fish and missed countless more.

The second day was truly fantastic.  I shattered my San Juan record -- landing 44 trout in about six hours.

All in all, a fantastic trip that was well worth the drive.

Thanks for visiting.
